Hi there...I saw the pingback- thank you! Yes, that leftover whey can be put to many good uses. It is often used in India and the Middle East as the liquid for making bread- both leavened and unleavened! The acidity of whey makes the bread very soft and delicious- this is my main use. Also it can be used to thin soups or stews. I now have no "build-up" problem these days! Thanks for visiting, and, from the few pages I've perused, your blog seems quite interesting! Lots of DIY stuff here! Love it!

(And BTW...it is pronounced EH-LYE-CHEE...that'd be Hindi for cardamom...my favorite spice) :-)

Hi Jay - this makes approximately 3.25 oz - you can up it to 4oz if you like by adding a bit more shea butter. I don't use FO's on my face, so if it were me, I'd really only use the eo. And a word of caution, if you do use eo's make sure that you are not allergic to the eo you use - do the normal 'test' to check for sensitization. I usually use lavender, frankincense or rosemary to my facial products. Hope that helps

How much will this mixture make? And is it okay to add fragrance or eo to be used on the face?

Thanks

Hi Pam~~just a little suggestion to make this bread even healthier and great for Diabetics..use 1 cup of Splenda or your choice of sugar substitute instead of the real suga, for the eggs you can use egg beaters and if you really wanted to go that extra mile use Whole Wheat Flour instead of white flour. Umm I can almost taste this..now I'm hungry LOL. My website is up now and I'd like to invite you to take a peek.

Hi Pam, I have no clue what the RSS feed is. I see it a lot and I think I clicked on it once but thats as far as it went.
My website should be up by the end of next week so I'll post it!

Here is a bit about myself: I've been married for 34 years to my still best friend Bob. We have 2 wonderful daughters that have given us 2 nothing but wonderful son-in-laws and 4 lovely grandchildren,2 boys and 2 girls and 1 on the way. Our grandchildren are the air that makes us breath and I thank God everyday for them. My mom was a hobbiest, no such thing as crafters back then. I can remember sitting at the table messing around with her. So after I moved out and got married it seemed only natural to start my hobbies and have been going strong all these years..I'm going to put your web addy along with my signature so it will go out with all my emails..we'll get this off the ground so you won't be talking to yourself..that can't be a good thing..:)
Will holler again soon!!
